Chili FC Completes Successful Region 1 Season

Chili FC (BU16) recently finished their 2nd season in the US Youth Soccer Region 1 Champions League.  This league is comprised of the top teams in the 15 state associations in Region 1.  FC participated at the premier level of this league and finished with a record of 4 wins against 3 losses, good for 4th place in their 8 team division.

Season highlights include a weekend trip to beautiful Vermont resulting in two wins, a victory against then undefeated Levittown (ranked in top 200 teams in the country by GotSoccer) and a big win to close the season out against #2 ranked perennial New York State West power Syracuse Development Academy.  In addition the boys had the opportunity to play nationally ranked SDFC (NJ) and PDB United (Long Island) both rated among the top 100 teams in the nation. The team now turns its attention to the NYSW Thruway League where they have jumped out to a fast 2-0 start in the league's top (National) division.

The players, coaches and parents of Chili FC would like thank the CSA Board of Directors for their continued support and for providing additional practice time for designated Elite teams which allows FC to compete at the highest level in Region 1.  In addition the team would also like to recognize their sponsors, The Summit Federal Credit Union and Party City for their contributions to the team's success.  A very special thank you goes out to Craig Demmin whose close work with the team through the years has help FC maximize its potential.
